Why This BLOG
The environment is a complex subject. Environmental issues often involve science, economics, law, politics, business, and more, all wrapped together. Without a thorough understanding of the environment, it can be hard to know what to think about it and easy to fall into faulty thinking out there.
Like in other areas of life, with the environment I’ve found that on the other side of a deep dive into learning about a subject, it is possible to make some sense of things. With this blog, I hope to share some insights into the environment from my years of studying and working related to it. I want to help clear up misconceptions and share helpful ways I’ve found to think about it. My hope in doing so is that it would, if ever slightly, improve the lives of people reading this, improve our care and preservation of the natural world, and thereby improve others’ lives as well.
For many people, the environment isn’t often something near the top of their minds—and those are the people I want this blog to be for! I want this to be for people who don’t often think about the environment, those who care about it but don’t know what they should do, and even those turned off by what comes to mind regarding the environment. I don’t intend this to be for environmental experts, for whom there is already plenty of good information out there already.
If you are interested, I invite you along for the blogging journey!
